Creating Your Account

In order to utilize the Lending Machine, we kindly request you to access it using your designated student number along with the added security of biometrics, specifically through fingerprint recognition. As stipulated by Washington State law, we seek your consent for the use of your fingerprint for identification purposes only in this use case first before you are allowed to use the system.

To facilitate a transparent overview of your account activity, and to manage your consent, we have developed a web application that mirrors the functionality of the Student Technology Loan Program (STLP). This resource is designed to streamline the borrowing process and empower you to manage your transactions efficiently.

Limited to Seattle Campus (SSW ONLY for beta Testing)

Only University of Washington (UW) Seattle campus students who are registered for the current academic quarter and pay both the Services & Activities (SAF) and Student Technology (STF) fees as part of their tuition are eligible to check out equipment from the Student Technology Lending Machine (STLM). UW Bothell and UW Tacoma students should consult their respective campus resources for similar services.

This system is in its Beta Testing phase and is only open to School of Social Work Students on a limited basis, while we work out any issues. This will be for a limited time, and then opened to the wider Seattle Campus soon.
